Our Mission
Distinction College is a higher education Institution devoted to developing its individuals to their maximum potential in their chosen profession. This is achieved by the employment of innovative and learning and teaching methods by a highly qualified, supportive, motivated, and enthusiastic staff, supported in their task by a learning environment conducive to the creation of ideal conditions for the achievement of the appropriate learning outcomes.
Who We Are...
Distinction College was founded in September 2010 in the Parish of Saint Catherine. Over the years, the institution has achieved several significant milestones. Between 2017 and 2020, it certified more students with a City & Guilds Certificate than any other private entity in Jamaica.
The college has also established itself as one of the largest CXC Examination Centres in Jamaica from 2016 to 2020. In 2020, despite the challenges of the pandemic, Distinction College registered over 2,000 candidates across its three locations in Kingston, Spanish Town, and Ocho Rios. That same year, the college launched its innovative online school platform.
Moreover, Distinction College is recognized as the largest independent private post-secondary institution in Jamaica, operating without government funding. In 2019, the college expanded its influence by launching a sister institution, UCAS, which assists other private schools in assessing and certifying their students with City & Guilds, ABE, NCTVET, and AAH certificates. Today, UCAS proudly serves 18 affiliate schools across Jamaica.
